The future of GI Free is being formed now. We honor what believers have done for us in the past. In many ways they have brought us to this exciting point in the present. We honor our church’s great heritage, the solid biblical foundation, and significant sacrifices which have positioned us well to move into the future. Taking steps to move into the future is a must.

The future requires that we speak the language of the audience we wish to reach. Much of this process will be familiar to us, while some of this “language” will seem fresh and somewhat unknown. This requires us to consider others more important than ourselves. All of us in the present are being called to die to ourselves for the sake of the Kingdom.

Click here to view the embedded video.

DVD’s and CD’s of Dan’s message are available at the Information Window.

It is the desire of the church leadership to pass the baton of leadership to the next generation. This will require discipline on the part of all of us. Our goal is to create a solid Christ centered place of worship and biblical learning that is welcome and familiar to the younger members or our community. This affords the opportunity for those of us who are more seasoned in our faith to set aside our preferences in an effort to see GI Free flourish for the next 10-20 years.

This younger generation should begin to plan to pass the baton to those generations following them. It is critical that the passing of the baton be modeled well today so that the future generations are provided a roadmap for this process in the future.

Our commitment to the Good News of Jesus Christ will remain unswerving. Valuing the Bible at the highest level will not change. Our response to be the hands and feet of Christ in this world will continue to increase. Through this coming years we desire to, “Honor the Past. Be disciplined in the Present. Envision the Future.”

The Holiness of God is downright, rubber meets the road, Monday morning practical. In fact, it’s vital in our seven-day-a-week faith and relationship with God. That’s why we are going to devote three months this summer to studying it together. You are invited to be a part of that study which will begin Sunday, June 2, during the Adult Community hour between worship services. Don’t miss this opportunity to finally come to grips with God’s holiness.

Throughout each year, we offer several opportunities to those who are interested in becoming church members. If you are considering becoming a church member, we invite you to attend Exploring Church Membership on Sunday, April 21 & 28 at 9:35 am in Room 102. The vision and purpose of church membership will be explained in a conversational format by our ministry staff and each session will cover different topics. It is our desire for people to see membership as more than placing their name on a roll, but rather, believers in Christ who are committed to using their unique God given gifts and talents to help make the Body of Christ all that it was designed to be. We will talk about the core beliefs and values of our church, its history and how we are set up organizationally. The next time these classes will be offered is September 15 & 22, 2013.

A wife has one driving need-to feel loved. When that need is met, she is happy. A husband has one driving need-to feel respected. When that need is met, he is happy. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy.

Love and Respect reveals why spouses react negatively to each other, and how they can deal with such conflict quickly, easily, and biblically. A Message That Works - Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah, have already taken the Love and Respect message across America and are changing the way couples talk to, think about, and treat each other.

What do you want for your marriage? Want some peace? Want to feel close? Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect?

This five week class for couples will begin Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 106. The cost is $12 per couple. You can sign up by calling the church office at 308-382-1898.
